Project Story
The Challenge
The existing bathroom was a typical 1990s builder special — beige tile, a bulky vanity, and fluorescent lighting. The homeowner wanted something bold and personal that would feel like a retreat, not just a functional room. The challenge was making a standard-sized bathroom feel luxurious without expanding the footprint.
Our Approach
We went with a navy blue shaker vanity as the centerpiece — a choice that immediately gave the room depth and character. We paired it with a quartz countertop and integrated sink for a clean profile, installed an oversized frameless mirror to double the sense of space, and laid dark porcelain tile flooring for contrast. Brushed nickel hardware throughout keeps the look refined without competing with the navy.
The Result
The bathroom went from forgettable to the homeowner's favorite room in the house. The navy vanity became a conversation piece, and the dark flooring made the space feel grounded and intentional. We finished in just under three weeks, and the homeowner said it felt like stepping into a boutique hotel every morning.
